During The NAMM Show, while the newest, most innovative gear in the industry is being revealed, everyone’s favorite musicians are also on hand to test the waters (and usually surprise whoever is in the vicinity with an intimate pop-up performance). When technology and creativity converge in the world of music, it brings to life a universe typically found only in dreams.
Imagine walking past Noodles from The Offspring, only to turn the corner and catch John Mayer giving a speech; or Scott Ian of Anthrax signing autographs? That’s just part of the beauty of The NAMM Show. It is four days packed with exciting discoveries, informative lectures, award ceremonies, and a bunch of unexpected concerts.
This year, from Jan. 24-27, the Anaheim Convention Center saw some electrifying moments. It was hard to narrow down the ones that stood out (because there were so many of them), but we’re giving it our best shot.
