Are you feeling lucky? Well, Flula Borg certainly is. With St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner, the actor, musician, comedian, and DJ has struck gold with his latest project. Borg plays Reggie (a wild gremlin) in Nickelodeon’s all-new original CG-animated film, “Lucky,” which premieres on Friday, March 8, at 7 p.m. ET/PT.
Known for movies such as “Pitch Perfect 2,” as well as having made countless appearances on shows like “Conan,” and “@midnight,” Borg has learned to master many talents. “I’m glad you think they are talents and that you think I’ve learned them because I don’t know that they are talents and I don’t know that I have learned anything,” Borg quipped in his thick German accent, as we chatted over the phone. “I think I just decided that if I’m pretending to be an expert at everything, people will just give me jobs. So, I think my only expert talent is pretending,” he took a moment to pause. “That’s it.”
Sharing in a conversation with Borg is like being part of an improv show at a comedy club. You have no clue what’s coming at you next, but whatever it is; it’s guaranteed to have you in stitches. You might wonder, as a man with so many unique abilities, which one captures his heart the most. “There are two things,” Borg says. “Creating things and then lasagna; those are my two favorite things. And then, of course, creating lasagna is very fun. That’s my third love.”
